In August 2018, Libyan Women's Platform for Peace announced that it's joining the Center for Reconciliation Studies at Jena University, Germany, and seventeen universities and research centers to form the Academic Alli- ance for Reconciliation Studies in the Middle East and North Africa. Zahra Langhi, LWPP CEO, participated in the inauguration ceremony to launch the Academic Alliance which aims to establish research and scholar- ly partnerships between academic institutions and practitioners in the field of reconciliation. It also aims at exchanging experiences, dissemination of knowledge and building joint courses and academic programs. What signifies the Academic Alliance is its interdisciplinary approach to conflict resolution, conflict transformation and reconciliation.
